Midriff, Out. Everyone Survived.

This lovely GS 2-piece takes guts if you're not used to putting a little midriff out there, but you only live once, right?  RIGHT?  I was so afraid I was going to trip over my heels and break all those glass sculptures.

Seattle's Shades

Seattle calls for grey, but despite the weather it is incredibly colorful.  The Chihuly Gardens are so fun despite their looming touristy location under the Space Needle, and Frank Gehry's EMP Museum is quite an interesting site.  But the real win was the Elysian Bar - crazy good cocktails that aren't on the menu...ask for the aviator.  We spent an afternoon planning out the space as if it was our apartment.  Sigh.

In The Sticks

This What Comes Around Goes Around Dress/Skirt was the perfect solution to a cross country drive with multiple terrains - it was HOT out there!  We found the Buddy Holly crash site, marked only by a glasses statue, and walked through a cornfield to a little memorial.  Then we hit Sawtooth, and I almost jumped in that river for a dip.  But then I chickened out.

Idaho. I love you.

This is Idaho!?  Count me in.  After driving through Stanley and dawning my favorite Hoss dress for a little side-of-the-road fun, we landed in Boise at the Modern Hotel...cocktails are outrageous and Juniper is the sh*t!  Driving cross country is bittersweet; I want to stick around these parts!!  But alas, Tidewater, Oregon calls our names.

Cross Country Mayle

Driving cross country this week, and I couldn't help but stop and gawk at the gorgeous Ohio State Reformatory (aka Shawshank).  The current owner bought this building for a dollar.  Mayle seemed like the appropriate choice.

Ombre Gratification.

Today, I'm doing it up in a Graham + Spencer Dress with a separate, little woven belt I picked up somewhere on the LES.  A simple, 'instant ombre gratification' outfit as I still attempt to recover from last weekend...parties got crazy, y'all!

Yes, that's Lure Fishbar.  One of the partners is starring in a show I helped create on Spike.  But they don't know that.  Because I play it cool.  Or because it's just weird to say something.
I would never make it in LA.

Frisky Today, Y'all!

I don't know what has gotten into me today. I am feeling frisky!  Sequin Betsey Johnson Capri's must have that effect.  Or afternoon Sangria.

Don't you just love vintage elastic belts?  They hold it all in place without constraining.  I am hanging off lamp poles with glee!  Look out!

Rompin' through the 'Ho

Today is a death defying attempt to maneuver through these beautiful, effing cobblestones.  In case I faceplant, I am playing it safe with my Reiss Romper, which is perfect to maintain dignity in the occasion your legs might go flying at any moment.  And I am totally going for it today, popped collar and all.  You only live once.

YSL Lingerie to Work...Why Not?!

In the middle of The Beautiful Fall by Alicia Drake about YSL and Lagerfeld, so I felt inspired to whip out my vintage YSL lingerie nightie and transform it into a work appropriate ensemble.  With a light cotton Philosophy di Alberta Ferretti skirt and vintage bright belt, I'm feeling put-together in a mischievous kind of way...

Backstage at HAIM Live in Levi's Brooklyn Bridge Park Concert

Last night HAIM kicked ass!  They are my new hero rockers.  My girlfriends and I stood on a road case on the back of the stage.  Getting to see those girls up close...damnnnn!

Good job, Live in Levi's!  Those denim picnic blankets around the park were a hit (pretty sure everyone was trying to swipe one...newsflash Brooklynites, they're from IKEA), and the food in the VIP was amazeballs.

So many gorgeous bloggers, instagramers, and infamous tweeters everywhere...in a good way!  Great night, even if I was sober most of the time!!  YES!!

Panties on a Citibike!

I am a sucker for a bold choice, so bright pink panties is a must for my Versace jeans with the ridiculous transparent patch today.  And though I may wear them ironically, paired with the Nanette Lepore Tangerine Yearbook Top, it's perfect for a Citibike ride through the city.  Honk if you must...

Versace Mini Wet Suit Dress?

This Versace mini dress makes my head spin when I think about it's construction.  The cut is crazy detailed, so I have to appreciate how much it retailed for (though I thrifted it!).  The fabric is thick and light, just like a wet suit.  Feeling really good today!

Mandy Coon Jumpsuit Kinda Sunday

It's been a Mandy Coon leather jumpsuit kind of Sunday.  Loving that gorgeous Rag & Bone turquoise bench; for a second I thought it was on the curb for the garbage men to pick up, and I got really excited.
